Flying Free, original handwoven tapestry by Linda Giesen, 26” x 28”, hand-dyed wool weft, cotton warp, 2006

We would like to invite you to help us welcome Linda Giesen to The Daily Dose! Linda is one of the twenty-three artists featured in Tapestry Through Time, hanging at The Historic Taos Inn until February 1, 2016.

“I wove this early in my tapestry career shortly after moving to the Magdalena Mountains of New Mexico. I found living in the New Mexico mountains exciting and freeing. For the first time in my life I felt like I was “flying free.” – Linda

Make sure to head over to Linda’s website to see more of her beautiful tapestries. And keep an eye out for her on The Daily Dose over the next few months.

If you have the time, please leave a comment, as we (and, I’m sure, Linda) would love to know what you think about this piece! Thanks!

Enjoy!

Ciao, Teresa & Joe
