  • Teresa, I especially loved watching Elsi Rae get involved. She did a fantastic job winding those skeins. When she saw the chickens and yelled hello to them, it was just down right adorable. I’ll be looking forward to seeing more videos on Youtube. Thanks for all the hard work ya’ll do.

    • Thank you so much, Michele!!! We love what we do and love that we can share it like this. Knowing we are appreciated makes all that we put into it more than worth it! Elsi Rae loves her chickens and is getting a special surprise from the Easter Bunny this weekend… three little ducklings and three new baby chicks…. can’t wait to see the look on her face! I’m still working to convince Joe that letting her take baths with the ducklings is an awesome idea… we will soon see if we can sway him! πŸ™‚

      • Teresa, Elsi Rae is going to go bonkers over her baby ducks and chicks. I had them too when I was young. I do think taking a bath with them is a great idea. Hope you can sway Joe.

  • Thanks for sharing a slIce of your life – such a peaceful, sweet video! Liked the chickens, sounds of birds, your cat, and the beautiful yarn. Brings a greater appreciation of the work you and Joe do to make this yarn available for all of us. Your daughter is so cute – another fiber person evolving I suspect. Wondering what the smoke was from in the background. Made me feel like I was in New Mexico for a short while!!!!!

    • Thank you so much, Kara! After we filmed the video, I was in our house watching it and was thinking to myself “Wow! Our life is awesome!” πŸ™‚ (the chickens and cats and made me smile)… Then that smoke appeared and I was like “Holly cats, my dads garage is on fire!”… I ran outside to see what was going on… and there was nothing… like nothing at all. No smoke, no burning garage, no sirens. I honestly have no idea what it was or where it was coming from. I haven’t heard of any fire-like incident since. So strange. All I can think is maybe the neighbor was burning his trash (still very common in these parts)… but who knows! πŸ™‚ Our daughter is more of a little biologist (she loves bugs and animals)… I am so glad we finally found a fibery job she loves to do (and she is a huge help… we have a lot of reskeining to do!). πŸ™‚

      • Thanks for posting this Teresa. It’s cool to see how you and your family work (cat and chickens inclulded) Very nice! Looks like a lot of skeins to rewind – glad you have good help in Elsi Rae! πŸ™‚

  • Teresa your yarn is truly a family project. Seeing Elsi Rae helping wind and then her shout out to the chickens was so precious. A beautiful environment to raise a child. That is a lot of hard work you all put forth to provide us with the most beautiful yarns. It was very enjoyable listening to the chickens in the background then your cat paying a visit, while you kept a study beat winding the skeins. Thank you for producing the yarn the old fashion way with all the family helping using simple methods. It shows in the fine quality of the yarns. Looking forward to seeing and learning more about your family business.

  • Loved it, Teresa. Elsi Rae is starting early in the business. Does she have her own loom yet? Love your peaceful ambience and sounds of nature.

  • My first thought was of how much work goes in to creating these beautiful yarns, therefore, increased appreciation. My second realization was how peaceful I felt while watching this video. The cat, the chickens, the birds in the background….and watching your beautiful daughter made me miss my own blonde haired little girls who are now adults. Thank you for taking the time to make this.

  • Thank you Teresa and Elsi Rae! So wonderful to see all those lovely yarns that soon will be finding their way onto my loom. I’ll be thinking of you as I weave, and the chickens, too !

  • Loved seeing all the scanes of yarn that you dyed and the labor that goes into them! It is great that your Elsi Rae helped some too, she is just so cute!

  • So sweet! I appreciate your yarn even more now after seeing your hard work in a beautiful peaceful setting. Thank you so much.

  • Thank YOU all…what a great start to my day to “sit” in your peaceful yard. PS ..just got a text video of my grandkids bathing w/the ducklings me n Papa gave them for Easter..yeah..weird but FUN..lots of toddler giggles!
