Butterfly, original handwoven tapestry by Nancy Kozikowski, 39”x 42.5”, 2012

Today I would like to invite Nancy Kozikowski to the Daily Dose! Nancy is one of the artists featured in Tapestry Through Time, hanging at The Historic Taos Inn until February 1, 2016.

I have long admired Nancy’s work. She is one of the artists I often reference during my classes. I make sure that anyone flying in or out of the Albuquerque airport keeps an eye out for her beautiful (very large) tapestry hanging above the escalators, welcoming everyone who passes into our beautiful state.

Nancy now lives, and continues to weave, in Beijing, China. I feel very lucky to have her in this show and feature her work on the Daily Dose.

You can read about some of Nancy’s recent exhibitions here, here and here. Or head on over to her website to see some of her work. The size of some of her tapestries is beyond inspiring! If you happen to be in Albuquerque, make sure to stop by DSG Fine Art to see some of her pieces in person!

If you love this Dose, leave a comment!

Enjoy!

Ciao,
Teresa
