Resting in El Salto by Patzy Walden, wool warp, Churro Weft, 15″ x 26″, 2016

Notes on this piece…

Patzy now comes to visit Taos (and us!) every year. She came out last fall, just before The Churro Club Exhibition and rented a place in Arroyo Seco. We delivered a little walking loom to her. She spent her time weaving on the porch of her rental, with incredible views of the mountains.

This piece is what she pulled off the loom! This is the second in a series inspired by Betty Sullivan.

“Woven on Teresa’s childhood loom (given to her by Rachel) while on retreat in September 2016 in El Salto, 4 days wonderfully absorbed in weaving outside.” -Patzy
