Imprisoned, original handwoven tapestry by Kristina Wilson, 40” x 37”, hand-dyed wool, early 1980’s

I would like to officially invite my great-aunt, Kristina Wilson, to the Daily Dose! If you have followed The Daily Dose for a while, you may have seen some of her work. Imprisoned is one of the pieces featured in Tapestry Through Time, hanging at The Historic Taos Inn until February 1, 2016.

Keep an eye out for more of Kristina’s wonderful work on The Daily Dose over the next few months.

I would like to invite you to leave a comment about this piece, as we (and, I’m sure, Kris) would love to know what you think! Thanks!

Enjoy!

Ciao, Teresa & Joe

  • I liked Kristina Wilson’s tapestry very much. It’s whimsical, colorful, contemporary, and has the feel of Navajo weaving. Thanks for including her in “Daily Dose of Inspiration” and congratulations to her on exhibiting at the Historic Taos Inn.

    • Thank you , Harriet!

Kris is an amazing weaver! Her tapestries are exactly that… whimsical, colorful and contemporary. I can spot her work a mile away, whether it is a tapestry or a simple striped rug.

Glad you like this piece! I will make sure to post more of her work!

      Ciao,
      Teresa
